Preventive maintenance, calibration and reinstatement of high-pressure gas flow meters across GASCO stations in Dar es Salaam.
Project Information
Gas measurement accuracy is critical in natural gas distribution systems, where even minor deviations can result in significant operational and financial impacts. GASCO operates key gas infrastructure across Dar es Salaam, including stations at Ubungo, Kinyerezi and Tegeta, which require reliable and precise flow measurement systems.
LSM International Ltd was engaged to carry out preventive maintenance of high-pressure gas flow meters across these strategic locations. The objective of the project was to ensure measurement accuracy, system reliability and compliance with operational standards.
The scope involved safe disconnection of the flow meters and associated components, followed by detailed inspection and maintenance procedures. The flow meters were then transported to a certified high-level laboratory for calibration to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Upon completion of calibration, LSM reinstated the flow meters, ensuring proper alignment, sealing and integration into the gas system. Comprehensive testing was conducted to confirm system integrity and accurate performance before returning the system to operation.
Through this project, LSM International demonstrated its expertise in gas flow measurement systems, delivering precise, reliable and compliant maintenance solutions for critical energy infrastructure.
